Before You Start — Profile Tips
A few things worth knowing about this profile before you set it up.
Single-Press vs Double-Press Buttons
Several buttons in this profile use Elgato’s Key Logic feature, which assigns different actions to a single press and a double press.
Page Navigation
A single press will switch the Stream Deck page. A double press will switch the workspace inside DaVinci Resolve (when the program is in focus). Want to do both at once? That’s a triple press.
Other Double-Press Buttons
| Page | Single Press | Double Press |
|---|---|---|
| Media | Optimized Media | Generate Optimized Media |
| Edit | Ripple Cut | Delete Gaps |
| Edit | Overwrite | Replace |
| Colour | Apply Grade | Auto Colour |
| Colour | Still Grab | Still Wipe |
Dials (Plus / Plus XL only)
Each page includes 4 dial actions. Every dial has three functions: rotate left, press, and rotate right. The touchscreen labels above each dial show what they do.
DaVinci Resolve Must Be in Focus
All shortcut buttons require DaVinci Resolve to be the active window. If a button isn’t responding, click into Resolve first.
Important: Two-Step Setup
This profile requires both a keyboard shortcut preset and a Stream Deck profile to be installed. Follow both steps below for everything to work correctly.
Step 1: Set Up Keyboard Shortcuts
DaVinci Resolve ships with many powerful commands that have no keyboard shortcut assigned by default. The included DaVinci Resolve keyboard shortcut preset maps these hidden commands to keys that your Stream Deck profile can trigger. Without importing it, some Stream Deck buttons and dials will appear to do nothing.
Locate the keyboard shortcut file
Find the .txt file in your download folder that matches your operating system and keyboard layout.
e.g. Davinci-Resolve-Win-QWERTY-Shortcuts.txt
Open Keyboard Customization in DaVinci Resolve
Go to DaVinci Resolve > Keyboard Customization…
Windows: Ctrl + Alt + K | Mac: Opt + Cmd + K
Click the three-dot menu and select “Import Preset…”
Click the (…) menu at the top-right of the panel. Select “Import Preset…” from the dropdown, then browse to the .txt file and click Open. Make sure you are importing the file that matches your operating system and keyboard layout (e.g. Mac-QWERTY, Win-AZERTY).

Verify the preset is active
Check that the imported preset is selected in the dropdown at the top of the panel, then close the window.
Enable Printer Light Hotkeys
The colour page includes shortcuts that control DaVinci Resolve’s Printer Lights for R/G/B colour balance. These hotkeys are disabled by default. Open the Color workspace, then click the Color menu at the top of the screen and make sure Printer Light Hotkeys is checked.

Quick toggle: Use Ctrl+Alt+` (Windows) or Cmd+Option+` (Mac) to quickly enable or disable Printer Light Hotkeys from the Color workspace. This works in DaVinci Resolve v18 and v20.
Note: Importing will not overwrite your existing shortcuts. It adds a new preset you can switch between at any time. Your default shortcuts remain untouched.
Step 2: Install the Stream Deck Profile
Now install the Stream Deck profile containing all the custom icons, page layouts, and shortcut triggers.
Locate the .streamDeckProfile file
Find the .streamDeckProfile file in the same folder that matches your OS and keyboard layout.
e.g. Davinci-Resolve-MK2-Win-QWERTY.streamDeckProfile
Double-click to install
Double-click the .streamDeckProfile file. The Elgato Stream Deck app will open automatically and prompt you to install the profile.
Select your device and confirm
If you have multiple Stream Decks connected, choose the correct device when prompted. Click Install to confirm.

Set it to auto-activate with DaVinci Resolve (optional)
In the Stream Deck app, click the profile dropdown and select Edit Profiles… Select the DaVinci Resolve Fastlane profile, then set the Application dropdown to DaVinci Resolve. The profile will now switch automatically whenever DaVinci Resolve is in focus. We recommend this so you don’t have to manually switch profiles.

Choosing Your Files
Which Keyboard Layout Do I Have?
Your DaVinci Resolve Stream Deck profile download includes shortcut files for three keyboard layouts. Each layout is named after the first six letter keys on the top-left row. The highlighted keys below show each layout’s namesake — look at your physical keyboard and match the sequence to find yours.
QWERTY
Used in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, Scandinavia, Spain, Italy, and most of Asia.

QWERTZ
Used in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Czech Republic, and Hungary.

AZERTY
Used in France, Belgium, and French-speaking Africa.

Troubleshooting & FAQ
NVIDIA GeForce Experience conflict (Alt+Z)
On Windows, Alt+Z is used by the NVIDIA GeForce Experience overlay (ShadowPlay). If you have this installed, it will intercept the shortcut before DaVinci Resolve receives it. The profile uses Alt+Z for the Primary/Log toggle on the Colour page (XL and Plus XL). To fix this, either disable the NVIDIA overlay or change its hotkey: open GeForce Experience → Settings → General → In-Game Overlay and rebind or turn it off.
Can I control Lift, Gamma and Gain from Stream Deck?
Lift, Gamma and Gain are essential tools for professional colour correction and we’d love to include them. Unfortunately, DaVinci Resolve doesn’t expose keyboard shortcuts for the colour wheels — they’re continuous, analogue controls designed for mouse interaction or dedicated hardware panels (like the DaVinci Resolve Micro Panel). Without keyboard shortcut equivalents, there’s no way to map them to a Stream Deck. Printer Lights are the closest keyboard-accessible alternative, giving you step-based R/G/B and Master adjustments that work well with dial rotation.
